We have been a part of the Grappenhall and Thelwall community since 1947. Members and non-members alike are welcome to enjoy a full and varied entertainments programme as well as a number of sports activities.

The club bar offers attractive prices on all of our drinks including beer, lager, cider, wine, spirits and a wide range of gins and soft drinks. The club is equipped with a comfortable lounge with TV's (SKY, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime), snooker and darts facilities. Regular social events, a darts section, live music, an annual Remembrance Sunday and many other festivities fill the calendar. You may also request bookings for wedding receptions, christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, wakes, meetings and events.

We hold a 5-star food hygiene rating, and freshly made pizzas are available on selected days.

We are proud to be a family, dog and pet friendly venue. Our outdoor facilities include an excellent children's play area and a beer garden — with its own outdoor TV — where everyone can relax with a quality drink in the fresh air.

We offer a range of traditional pub sports, including snooker and pool tables, line dancing every Thursday, several dart boards and there is weekly Bingo on a Tuesday (non-members welcome).

Our members have a strong ceremonial tradition dating back to 1921. We're proud to have members represent the Legion across the UK, during Remembrance services and beyond.

Club FAQs

The Royal British Legion provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. The Legion was founded in 1921, at the Queen's Hall, London, to give practical help and companionship to ex-servicemen of the First World War.

As a voice for the ex-Service community and over 450,000 members continue to ensure that this voice does not go unheard. Although the needs of ex-Service people have changed over the years, we are still there to safeguard their welfare, interests and memories. British service people are in action around the world every day of the year. They know that if they need our support – now or in the future – the Legion is always on active duty for them.
